Ole Henriksen; Vitamin C Gel Cream, PHAT Glow Facial & Glow 2OH Dark Spot Toner,

Ole Henriksen perfectly balances being a ‘clean beauty’ brand free from any harmful ingredients whilst still bringing out new, exciting and innovative products that both look brilliant and are fun to use. I am always eager to try out all of their new releases, never do they disappoint in quality or innovation. Here are some of my favourite products I have had the pleasure of trying from the brand over the last couple of months.

Vitamin C Gel Cream £36 for 50ml

This super light vitamin C infused formula melts into the skin almost instantly providing a brilliant base for applying makeup. It claims to offer 24 hours hydration whilst brightening and firming the skin. I cannot vouch for the 24h hydration as I wouldn’t ever go that long without cleansing and reapplying my skincare however I have noticed my skin is visibly brighter and does appear more plump following using it for the last few weeks. A really lovely light day time moisturiser packed with vitamin C goodness, just remember to apply SPF over the top and you are good to go!

Glow2OH Dark Spot AHA Toner £22 for 190ml

Combining both AHA exfoliants (glycolic and lactic acid), this powerful toner works to resurface the skin over regular use and therefore diminish any dark spots, scars, uneven texture and fine lines. Further infused with skincare ingredients sandalwood, chamomile and liquorice extracts, it’s claimed to be gentle enough for daily use. I wouldn’t recommend to go straight into using everyday, each persons skin is different and has a different tolerance of acids. Try a couple of times a week (at night) and work your way up to find the regularity that works for you. I have to say I have been reaching for this toner over my all time favourite Pixi Glow Tonic recently, though I do feel it is a little stronger so be aware!

PHAT Glow Facial £42 for 50ml

Last but not least, my favourite of the new released we have their exfoliation face mask. Including the lesser known exfoliating acid PHA (which is derived from fat). A great treatment for an instant glow, PHA’s are a bigger molecule, so they don’t go as deep as they loosen up the “glue” that binds the surface layer of skin together, and reveal the newer, fresher skin underneath. That means less irritation and recovery time for everyone—even sensitive skin. I love the instant results this. treatment gives in just 15mins, I love using it to prep my skin before I apply my makeup when my skin is looking a little dull and lacking.
