If you are are a bit of a coffee snob, then you need to pop along to ShakeDown coffee at ‘The Provisoners’ in London Bridge. All coffee beans are roasted on the premises by the team to create a world class blend. These guys really take their coffee seriously, their beans are roasted in small batches, changing with the seasons to showcase the versatility of the best crops and flavours.
Shakedown is located within the Provisioners restaurant, a cool and contemporary restaurant/ cafe come cocktail bar in the evenings. Something for everyone, their classic and unpretentious menu offers a whole host of dishes including sharing plates, snacks, lunches, dinners and more; catering towards a range of dietary requirements and preferences.
I got to try some of their most popular veggie dishes including the best bruschetta I have ever had (lightly toasted sourdough, smothered in olive oil, topped with fresh and sweet cherry tomatoes and drizzled generously with balsamic), a light and flavourful kale and avocado salad and an open sandwich topped with a whole array of veggie delights. We couldn’t resist tasting a couple of the drinks on the menu (as well as the coffee of course). We had a really refreshing Bellini whilst waiting for out food, followed by one of their speciality espresso martini (a real must try). Then followed that up with one of their classic filter coffee’s which was as delicious as expected!
