Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil

I have always been a fan of Pai skin care, they are a perfect match for me as all their products are vegan, natural and for sensitive skin. I was lucky enough to be sent three of their best-selling products in order to give an overview on the brand, however each of them deserve their own post! I have decided to start with my hero product which is their Rose face oil.

Rosehip oil is a staple in my skin care routine, has been for years and I am certain it will continue to be for many years to come. I have gone through many brands of Rosehip oil including unbranded plain oil without any fancy packaging which you can buy online for super cheap. I have never been too fussed about sticking with one brand in particular; I have found that they all yield pretty much the same effect – hydrating the skin without clogging pores, calming irritation and reducing scarring. What sets Pai apart from the rest is that, unlike any oil I have used before,  they use both the oil from the fruit and the seed- unlike the usual method of cold pressing, Pai extract the oil via something called “volcanically sourced CO2 supercritical extraction” – sounds fancy right?

Though this method of extraction is more expensive, it is well worth it as all the oil retains twice the regenerative sterols and five times more carotenoids than your average cold-pressed rosehip seed oil. Unlike the usual rosehip oils you will find on the market, this is bright orange in colour and has a slightly thicker consistency.

I use this oil every single night before bed without fail! I could not imagine my night time routine without it anymore. It has also been great for day time use after I had a skin peel which dried my cheeks out considerably – this oil absorbed so quickly and calmed the irritation.

It was immediately a lovely oil to use with a wonderful natural fragrance; it feels really intensely moisturising on the skin but absorbs quickly so your face feels fresh. After just a few days of usage I could tell my skin was way more hydrated. I find that when I am dehydrated my skin looks a bit “thin” and all my pigmentation is more prominent. A couple of days after using this every night, my skin looked noticeably more plump and even. Overtime I am certain it will help alleviate all scarring and pigmentation as the results have been so rapid. Soothing for blemished skin, it assists in the healing of spots but doesn’t clog pores – a great one for balancing out the oil production in your skin.

This has quickly become my ‘go to’ holy grail facial product, overtaking the Vanderhoe serum oil, which is great as Pai is a quarter of the price! Incredible value for money at £22 and if you are using it as instructed (2-3 drops applies in the evening) it will last you for months and months. I have been testing this product out for 2 months and have only used a third of the bottle.

I really have fallen in love with this oil and have already purchased a back up just in case something happens to my current one. A real superstar product – I cannot recommend it enough.
