I’m back at one of my favourite spots but this time for a delicious 5 course dinner collaboration by David Bez at Salad Pride and the up and coming vegan chef, Lauren Lovett. It was a great evening showcasing some great vegan dishes and innovative flavours as is the way at Salad Pride!
Crunchy and flavourful buckwheat and walnut croquettes with a dollop of creamy coconut yogurt and a hint of basil topped with local sprout. Crisp and creamy.
Kimchi flavours running throughout the dish. A kimchi and chickpea flour toastada spread with cashew cheese (with kimchi juice) topped with seasonal leaves with a helping of kimchi and beetroot cream. Fresh and tangy.
Black Pea Bisque
An intensely flavourful warming miso bisque with truffled vegetables, black beans and a black bean humus. Light yet comforting.
A bed of crunchy toasted buckwheat with pea flick, roasted squash and massaged kale. Great combination of crunch, warmth and freshness.
Raw walnut caramel and chocolate cake infused with the superfood mornings. Creamy rich layers topped with a crisp chocolate crunch and a morning a walnut on the side.
Another impressive spread by David and his accompanying chef Lauren Lovatt. Delicious food and a great array of flavours and textures.
