Biolage R.A.W Recover

The popularity of natural, sulphate free, paraben free, and silicone free hair care has grown massively over the last couple of years. Nowadays people don’t just want to straighten their hair and apply a slippery silicone serum to re-create the look of healthy hair – they actually want the real deal.

Biolage R.A.W is the new line released by the hair care giant Matrix; Matrix products have been widely used in hair salons around the world and are coming out with more and more products that are available for use at home. The new R.A.W range is about having completely natural hair care, without any of the commonly found chemicals that can damage you har. The focus is on quality natural ingredients to nourish your hair, rather than just cover up damage.

On the biolage R.A.W. Website you can take a quiz to ensure you’re matched with the product line that best suits your needs. After years of colouring and heat, my hair definitely was in need of their most intensive line – Recover.

The recover shampoo and conditioner are made with superfood ingredients- yucca, goji berries, coriander oil and Kaolin clay. If you are not used to using a sulphate and silicone free shampoo you will find the experience a bit different to usual. Without the artificial ingredients the shampoo will not lather quite as much as usual, you need to leave it on for 1-2 mins to cleanse the hair fully. Upon rinsing, your hair is likely not to feel as soft or smooth as it might do after your usual shampoo as your hair is clean and not coated in silicones.

Follow up the shampoo with the recover conditioner which will restore shine, smoothness and bounce back to you hair. You will need to apply a generous amount and leave it on for around 5mins before rinsing out.

Natural shampoo and conditioners can take a little getting used to but Biolage R.A.W range is one of the best natural hair brands I have used- a wonderful smell, nourished hair and reasonably priced. Can’t wait to try more from the range! A pleasure to use and I will most definatley repurchase.
